Audio Description

Voiceover Narration for the Visually Impaired

Audio Description (AD) is an accessibility mode that serves the visually-impaired by describing key visual elements of a media project so people can still experience the content without seeing it. Audio descriptions are also known as video description, described video, or visual description. Regardless of the terminology, the goal is the same: To give more people an opportunity to fully experience the content.

Jess is an experienced Audio Description narrator. She specializes in corporate Audio Description. She also narrates Audio Description for Television (TV), Film, media projects and streaming services like Netflix, Apple, Disney +, HBOmax and Hulu.

Making Visual Content Accessible

Jess’ passion for audio description stems from her passion for helping others. This is voiceover that gives back. She is honored to be an advocate for the blind and low-vision community in the mission of inclusivity for all.

There are so many reasons to include audio descriptions on your content. Many media producers include audio descriptions to comply with regulations (like Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973), or simply to make their content more accessible and inclusive to a wider audience.

Also, some folks without visual disabilities appreciate the option of listening to descriptions, which allow them to experience content without looking at their screens (like when you’re bingeing Netflix and cooking dinner).

American female young adult voice

If your project calls for a neutral American female young adult voice, Jess is your girl! Her voice is youthful, smart, confident, and relatable, without overshadowing your original work.

Clear, calm, and straightforward

Her signature description voice is clear, calm, and straightforward. With descriptions, it’s important for listeners to distinguish between the original content and the added accessibility features. Her voice can paint a clear picture to enhance your audience’s experience without distracting from your concept.
